R1ZE is the most varied of our formats, ranging from no impact strength to speed and agility. Like all our formats, there is no requirement to move to any beat but your own!

Every R1ZE workout is completely unique. And because you get access to our full back catalogue of workouts from day one, if there’s a workout you don’t like, just skip it and choose one that’s more your style!

  • Absolutely! Please email us at info@sh1ftfitness.com and we can give you access to a showcase of workouts to try.

  • Staying true to the principles of HIIT, standard R1ZE workouts are maximum 30 minutes in length including a warm up and cool down.

    However with the SH1FT App, it is very easy to increase the length of the workout to 45 or even 60 minutes, using our bolt-ons.

  • To get the best experience possible, we would recommend using a step. However if you are teaching virtually and some participants do not have access to a step, placing a towel or equivalent on the floor is a great alternative.

  • Anywhere! SH1FT Fitness instructors have ZERO restrictions which means you can teach anywhere you like - online or live. That includes both live and pre-recorded online classes.

  • R1ZE forms part of our CARDIO category and as of January 2024 we will be on our 22nd R1ZE release. As with all our formats, when you become a CARDIO instructor you will get full access to all of our back catalogue of releases from day 1, for no extra cost.

    In terms of new content, we release a new CARDIO workout every even month (Feb, April, June etc), and every odd month (Jan, March etc) we release our CARDIO bolt-ons. So you’ll get a new piece of CARDIO content every month.

  • Al of our CARDIO category formats (R1ZE, BL1TZ & STR1KE) are built around the 6 Degrees of Freedom (6DoF).

    The 6DoF is a concept from engineering and robotics that describes how a body moves through space. Every workout will move you up and down, side to side, forward and back, with dynamic folds, bends and twists.

    Using a riser is a great way to incorporate plyometric training at a reduced impact - as you’re able to achieve the power gains of jump training while also allowing the softer landing that a staggered height can provide.

    The ability to move through the 6DoF with power, control and precision is the key to functional fitness and staying “fit for life” at any age.

  • No. R1ZE workouts do not work to the beat, but instead utilise functional HIIT movements on the step. Workouts are not choreographed to music.

    In saying that, if you’re a big step aerobics fan, we do have a couple of releases you’ll love (like RETRO - our throwback to an 80s step class!).

    Or if that’s your worst nightmare, then just skip that release as there are so many options to choose from!
