One of the key considerations when launching SkillSync was ensuring that any instructor that joins us has demonstrated their ability to teach safe, fun and effective classes to their communities. Let’s be clear, this is not a programme that allows you to ‘cut corners’. All of the ‘pre-approved’ certifications have been vetted by the SH1FT team and we are confident that any instructor joining us via the SkillSync programme will be an experienced and skilled addition to the SH1FT family.

The full on-demand training course is available to all SkillSync instructors. So if you decide you would like more training on our business and formats, you can complete this at any time. We give guidance on the best chapters of the training to review in our SkillSync onboarding information pack.

We would suggest allowing at least a week to complete the SkillSync onboarding series and familiarise yoursef with the App and try some of our workouts.

But once you’ve done this, it’s very fast to start teaching. One of the great things about our App is it takes away the need for memorising complex choreography. Because of this, many SH1FT instructors teach the new release the same day as we launch it!

Nope. It’s completely free to complete the SkillSync registration process. Once you are certified in the relevant SH1FT format/s, you will then have the opportunity to upgrade to a subscription and try the SH1FT workouts/App. The cost for this is below but please note this is covered in our 30 day money back guarantee. So you can sign up, try SH1FT for up to 30 days, and as long as you email us to cancel before the 30 days is up, you will have your first month refunded in full - no questions asked!

Yes! If you have a certification that isn’t included on our list, please send us an email at info@sh1ftfitness.com with details on your certification and we can have the team review this to determine if it meets our requirements for the SkillSync programme. 

Our training courses do come with CEUs from NASM/AFAA however if you join via SkilSync and do not complete the full training, you will not be eligible for CEUs.

We are happy to offer any instructor coming through the SkillSync programme the opportunity to complete our full training and assessment free of charge, and if you do this and pass the assessment, you will be eligible for CEUs.

You will then be sent an email with details on how to access your account and submit a photo of your existing certification. Once this is approved, you’ll be certified in SH1FT.

If you’re looking to get into Group Fitness, then we absolutely welcome you too. We think our training is great, and if you don’t have an existing approved certification you will need to complete our training and be assessed by one of our assessment accredited Master Trainers before you can become a SH1FT instructor.

This will vary from person to person but we estimate you will spend up to 90% less time preparing for a class. How? Our App structures the classes for you and eliminates the need for memorisation plus we provide short overview videos to act as a ‘cheat-sheet’ guide. When we release our new workouts, many of our Instructors are already teaching them to their classes that very same day, having just run through the workout once.

Complete freedom!! We give you the foundation to create your own unique group fitness experience, without restrictions. You’ll get access to our full back catalogue of workouts from day one and we allow you to customise workouts. So you have the ability to choose what workouts you think your class will love that day - maybe a CARDIO HIIT style workout, a L1FT upper body weights session or perhaps a hybrid of the two. You know your class best, and you are empowered to make that choice.

If you are a SQUAD member in two or more SH1FT Fitness formats, you have the ability to merge together different formats to create a completely unique class. This is all done via the App - you download the workout combinations you want and sort them together in a playlist. For example, if you have a 60 minute class slot to fill you could do 10 mins of M1ND Mobility followed by a 30 minute BL1TZ HIIT session and finish with 20 mins of L1FT Upper Body Strength - the opportunities are endless! And don’t worry if this sounds complicated - we promise it’s simple and we provide very thorough guidance on how to do this.

Not at all! You definitely don’t need to be a tech expert to use the SH1FT App - it is incredibly easy to use and we provide detailed walk-throughs of the App to get you started. We regularly receive feedback from Instructors on how easy the App is to use. But if you are concerned at all, you can utilise the money back guarantee and try SH1FT for 30 days - this will be more than enough time to ensure you are comfortable with using the App.

Yes. SH1FT is available worldwide and we have Instructors in 41 countries and counting! Our app and resources are only currently available in English, so we recommend having a proficient level of English. But you are welcome to teach SH1FT Fitness formats in any language you like, in any country of your choosing!

At SH1FT Fitness, we have always allowed our Instructors to choose their own playlists to pair with our workouts - music that suits yours and your class members' style. Having the freedom to choose is something that is time and again voted in the top three reasons why Instructors love teaching our formats and we always want you to be in control of this.
